Spring X Banana Republic

Saying goodbye to winter has been bittersweet for me, I always love to bundle up and enjoy the white blanket of snow that has covered everything, but all seasons come and go, and I embrace them all with open arms! Spring has finally sprung and I decided to take advantage of the warm sunny day and venture out into the park to take in the beautiful scenery and cool fresh air here is what I wore. I am excited to finally wear some light linens and casual chinos for an easy cool springtime look. Banana Republic has got some pretty awesome menswear for Spring, I love the light orange Linen shirt paired with the cool green chinos, this look is perfectly casual yet could still be worn to work or on a date. The relaxed fit of the chino pants made this look very polished and clean, which I loved because it is a fit I wouldn't normally gravitate toward, but I was pleasantly surprised once I seen how perfectly these chinos fit.  The light orange Linen shirt was a perfect combination for the chino pants, as the cool green really helped bring out the orange which I really loved as it completed the look and complimented the accessories very well and made it a dapper casual look. I love how comfortable this entire look is, the Linen really keeps you cool and lets you feel the warm spring breeze along without having to sacrifice function for fashion, which we all know too well! I took a stroll through the park wearing this look, and I was so comfortable I felt as though I was wearing my workout gear, which is a something a lot of men out there would love. Spring is all about Cool lights and bright colors, and this look is no exception. I am ready to take on this season and embrace all the beauty that comes with it!

Suited Stroll

I love a versatile suit that can be broken down into separates, This suit has been great for dressing up for events, and down for a more casual look. Both of these pieces are of a suit set and I combined them to create a more casual everyday look without feeling like you're going overkill. The jacket is a perfect fit right off the rack, which is difficult to find these days. The Chambray pants gave this look some texture and depth which makes it excellent to wear sans jacket. I especially like how the loafers finish it off giving it that extra dapper touch that it needs to make it a polished dandy look!

Falling For Fall

There is nothing like Fall, I am fortunate to be living on the East Coast where I get to experience all the different temperatures, see flowers bloom, and leaves fall. There is nothing like watching seasons come and go and I get to appreciate the beauty of what Mother Nature Has to offer. Fall happens to be a favorite because of the colorful leaves and crisp air, it only makes sense to layer up. For this perfect Fall day, I decided to play with textures, patterns, and hues to create a both warm and effortless look that can be worn for years to come! I love a good fisherman sweater and this was a necessary purchase since it can be worn so many different ways! I also love this utility jacket,
it is both warm and just lightweight enough to wear on cool days like today without it being
unbearable. To add to my layering obsession (no I am seriously obsessed with layering) I added
a cool flannel shirt to brighten up the look which was needed! Speaking of obsessions,
Chelsea boots are also becoming a wardrobe staple for me I simply love the clean
lines and how they compliment the outfit.

What do you guys think of this look, is layering something
you are equally obsessed with? Let me know in the comments!

Sunnies & Hats

So many of us guys neglect the accessories department of our closet, and they too are staples in a gentleman's wardrobe. Sunglasses and Hats can complete your look binding everything beautifully together to look effortless and dapper! These are a few of my favorite combinations of how I believe sunnies and hats should be paired.

The Fedora Hat is taking the mens world by storm again, this hat can be dressed up, or down depending upon your mood this hat is extremely versatile and looks good on the masses! Pair the Fedora with classic Wayfarer shades for a cool look like so.

The beanie is also a classic and can be found in many renditions, from slouchy for the hipsters out there or fitted for a more rugged look either way the beanie isn't going anywhere anytime soon! Like the beanie, the classic aviator can be worn with nearly anything and take a look to a different level of cool. The aviator and the beanie make a cool combination together so they are best together!

Next time you plan an outfit, step outside your comfort zone a bit and try on a hat. If you're feeling extra daring, throw some sunnies in there too and you will be surprised with how much different your originally planned outfit will look! If you are in the market for sunnies, make sure to check out Salt City Optics online store  for all the latest styles and frames

Fifty Shades Of Blue

Blue, a staple for any wardrobe blue comes in many hues. Navy Blue happens to be a favorite of mine, it can be casual, or elegant. For the winter months layering is necessary for survival, and today was no exception. I decided to take a stroll through this winter wonderland, here is what I wore.

This toggle sweater was the perfect layering piece without sacrificing any style or comfort. I especially love this look with a chambray shirt and knit tie for texture.

The Jacket was a nice thin layer for extra warmth, and style.

How do you guys layer up for the winter months?

Lost In Fallen Leaves

There is something so captivating about fall, even taking a simple stroll
can be the most beautiful occurrence.
It was a brisk day so I decided to layer up
here's what I wore.

Kept it pretty simple for this casual look, the jean jacket is such a staple in my wardrobe
I wear it when I need an extra piece for style, to keep warm, or both!
I paired the jacket with camouflage trousers, a crisp white button down
and lightweight orange sweater for a pop of color.

I loved this look it was so warm and the orange really made this look something special that
another color wouldn't have made it possible. The brown boots also helped
tie this look together into a cohesive look.

These shots where so much fun I love fall, seeing the leaves falling just
makes shoots that much more worth it! How do you guys
layer up for fall
